Eukleo homepage presenting its management tools

Professional project · Born To Web

Eukleo

An appointment to move, a client to find, a sale to process. Eukleo brings together the tools beauty professionals use. I co-developed it with the Born To Web team, from front end to back end.

01The project

Keep a whole day at the salon running.

Eukleo is for hairdressers, barbers, beauty salons and spas. The idea is to keep appointments, clients, sales and business tracking in one place. A client books a service, the salon prepares for their visit, then finds their history when welcoming them.

On Eukleo, I worked on Next.js screens, the Django back end and communication between modules. We built it together at Born To Web.

How it works

  1. 01

    Book

Choose a service, a staff member and a time slot.

  2. 02

    Organise

Find appointments and prepare for the day.

  3. 03

    Take payment

Bring together services and products sold.

  4. 04

    Follow up

Find the client and track the salon’s activity.

Everyday tools

Appointments and scheduling

Shared calendar, online booking, service catalogue, availability and automatic reminders.

Clients and loyalty

Client records, history, preferences, points, referrals and SMS or email campaigns.

Checkout and invoicing

Payments, deposits, receipts, quotes, invoices, credit notes and accounting exports.

Shop and stock

Products, orders, salon pickup, delivery, stock movements and gift vouchers.

Staff and locations

Schedules, permissions, multiple salon management and statistics to follow their activity.

Online presence and automation

Website, blog, booking widget and marketplace. The product also offers an AI assistance module.

02My work

I worked across the whole product.

At Born To Web, where I am a partner and co-managing director, I helped develop Eukleo as a whole. My work covers Next.js screens, the Django back end, data and connections between modules. We built it as a team.

01

Interfaces with Next.js

I contributed to the app’s screens and user journeys. Moving from a calendar to a client record, finding a service or checking a sale are small actions repeated all day. The front end needs to make them easy to find.

  • Next.js
  • Interfaces
  • User journeys
02

Logic and data with Django

I also worked on the back end, handling the processes and data behind those screens. Appointments, services, clients and sales appear across several modules. Each feature needs to account for those connections.

  • Django
  • Python
  • Back end
03

Connect the different parts

I also work on the connections between the interface, server and product services. The API and widget extend Eukleo to other websites, while salon staff keep working in their management space.

Build the product with the team

I helped design and develop Eukleo with Born To Web. My work can move from an interface question to business logic or planning a new feature.

  • Co-development
  • Full stack
  • Product design

03Under the hood

Next.js up front, Django behind it.

Next.js builds the interfaces, and Django runs the back end. I work on both. The interesting part is what happens between screens: an appointment has to match the right service, staff member and client.

From the screen to connected tools

Take a closer look

The action starts on screen.

The front end shows schedules, records and forms. It lets users find information and carry out everyday tasks.

Booking embedded in salon websites

The widget adds Eukleo booking to a salon’s website.

Some development choices

Fit into an existing website

The starting point

A professional may already have a website and just want to add appointment booking.

What we did

The widget loads into part of the page. Shadow DOM isolates its display to limit style conflicts with the salon’s website.

Connect the product to other tools

The starting point

A salon may also use a custom website, dashboard or external tool for its business.

What we did

The API provides access to the location’s data, while webhooks report useful events. This makes it possible to build connections around the product.

04In pictures

The public homepage, followed by demo salon screenshots published on Eukleo. The figures shown are there to demonstrate the software.

05Outcome and team

A professional product I co-developed from end to end.

Eukleo is a Born To Web product available online. My role involved interfaces, the server and connections between modules.

What is in place

  • A management app with Next.js and Django.
  • User journeys from booking to business tracking.
  • A widget and API connecting the product to other websites and tools.

Where the project stands

  • The public website presents the current modules and plans.
  • Access to the demo salon can be requested through Eukleo’s website.
What I take away from it

In Eukleo, a change on one screen can affect several other parts of the product. Working on both front end and back end helps me follow those connections all the way through.
